I was going to say that this page needs no explanation, but then realised that it did.
This is a compendium of cheats for a whole bunch of shareware and freeware games which I own (and you can ask for by e-mail or for a URL) . I know Battle of Britain isn't but it's too late to take it out now (and no I won't e-mail it)...
All of these cheats have been tested by me (except for 3 or 4). As this is version 0.8b it is pretty obvious there's more to come - there are about 3 more CD's to search for hints after I've added some of my own knowledge...
If there are any additions/changes/deletions to be made to this list, or would like to be informed when this page is updated, please e-mail me and tell me about it.

Type abuse -edit to start the game, and then press shift-Z. Be sure the cursor is in the window while doing this. Now press TAB to begin with God mode on.
These cheats don't work for my 2 demos as neither has an order form. Oh well... c'est la vie... Anyway I've put them here for you anyway...
Try typing in YOYOYO at the order form
ITIHFO - fight 3 rounds instead of just one
ERHNE - fight all the characters instead of one
AOFREOIO - Opens all bonus doors
OFOVH - 2X in bonus rooms
ERHYHRLY - Makes the Toadman Weaker
OAOAEIOA - Autofly Mode in lab
EATEE - Morphing dissabled
OIVNNFOF - Tadpoles attacking in lab enabled
EHRTRR - Autofly In bonus rooms enabled
Use a program such as PC Tools or BEdit to search for a string 36 24 75 08 B8 01 00 and replace it with 36 24 74 08 B8 01 00
Hold down Alt+Right Shift+~ (the tilde - a capital `) when in map mode, and depending on the chapter you are on, you will be sent to a screen with a wordlock chest, with basic supplies as well as special items needed to finish the level. You also have the opportunity to heal all of your characters.
Remember that if you only see moredhel language, that the numbers are already set on 1 and rise by 1 each time you click on them. The codes for each chapter are:

There are 4 known secret moves in this Apogee blast-em-up
Fireball (costs 1 health) - move rapidly from left to right (starting by moving left) about 10 times and then press jump.
Plasma Bolt (costs 1 health) - hold up arrow for 2 seconds until you hear a strange noise, then press the fire button.
Shield - move rapidly from right to left (starting by moving right) about 10 times and then press jump. You will recieve a temporary shield.
Invulnerability - hold up arrow for 2 seconds then press down arrow. You will be temporarily invunvulnerable.

Keens 1,2,3 -- Hold down G+O+D to allow you to walk through walls on map mode and on level mode you get infinite pogo stick and invincibility. Also holding down C+T+Space gives you a lot of other bonuses. Finally, hold down Shift+Tab to skip levels in map mode.
Keens 4,5,6,KDreams -- Try B+A+T for a whole bunch of extra stuff (doesn't seem to matter which order you hold them down in). Also you can hold down A+2+Enter to enter debug mode, where you can use the following keys to obtain various bonuses/powerups (these look incredibly similar to Wolfenstein 3D)

Keen 4 -- The pyramid of the moons harbours 2 secrets. The first is that if you leave Commander Keen standing on a symbol with a moon on it -- he moons you. The second is that when you find the yellow keyhole, beyond it there will be a whole bunch of those worms that follow you around. If you get all of them to follow you and assemble in one place, they will turn into a giant foot which will carry you over to the pryamid of hands.
Hold down C+Zero+F10 for free items (only works once per level if I remember correctly)
You can refill ammo by dropping a weapon and running over it again.
Type JASSICA16 during the game. You'll get a message saying that cheats are enabled, now you can hit:

To walk for eternity and a day:
Select a merc and tell them to move WHEREVER you want them to go. When they have almost gone the whole distance you asked them to (ie have about 3 action points left), right click on their character picture and select "reserve pts.". The merc will continue walking until they reach the point you selected.
No need for hefty HEX listings here, just go into one of the subdirectories and there's an exe file which is actually a character editor waiting for you (and it works 100% too!)...
Pause the game, then hit Backspace followed by:

now you have $210000000 and the best robot
At the menu, hold down 2097. A hidden menu will appear with lots of advanced options. Also, in the gameplay menu, where you get to select the computer's skill level, you can hold down OMF and press the right arrow to go to DEADLY skill level, and then hold down the right arrow to attain ULTIMATE skill level.
Hold down BIG and a number or REIN during play, and scrap will start falling from the skies on the first hit.

There are a few days of the year, the programmers' birthdays, where the game starts up with the programmer in question's impression of a monkey (as far as I remember), the apogee theme is replaced with all of the programmers going "ba da da da ...", and other features such as flying cows are enabled. Weird...
To get to these at any time go to the system prompt (or the time icon at the bottom right corner of the screen) and change the date (done in DOS by typing DATE) to the birthday you want.
I only have 1 date at the moment but wait... because there's more coming along

You can get GOD mode by typine Set S_HOST = CASTLE before running the game
Or, to get the weird characters found on the programmers' birthdays without changing the date, go to the mission select screen (just after you buy your stuff). There are 3 pushbuttons and one other switch. Hit the switch 4 or 5 times, then toggle buttons 1 and 3. Be warned... those cows and monkeys are VERY hard.
Try -podbay, -kirkuk and -tomahawk parameters when running Sand.exe (ie. sand -podbay to run etc.), to go to levels 5, 10 and 15 respectively. It will actually tell you this when you die after levels 7, 12 and 17 (I think).

Destruction Mode -- This is an odd code. When you type it in, you get the cheaters always prosper message at the bottom of the screen and a flashing boarder around the screen like when your armour is down, but your armour will still be full. But if you get shot once, your armour goes down to nothing. Could this maybe be the way to find the last hints on the score screen at the end of the game.

Secret Move
After the game has started, hold the brake and keep spinning around to your left. Eventually you will come past a dopefish. Remember him? He's from Commander Keen 4! And almost every other apogee game since!
Extra Track
There is a series of moves you can do to play Uno the Panda in Race 2 of the Silver Wheels course. All you have to know is that you can get to play that race using the normal characters by ranking 3rd or more in Champion mode. Believe me, it can be done.
Hit enter, type in the code, then hit enter again.

Hit L+I+M during the game to get free stuff but reset score.
You can play the game with the "Demo" sign in the game by holding down TAB on the title screen - performs no useful purpose but have you ever "played" an arcade game with the insert coins sign still flashing, and then some big guy kicks you off because you're not really playing? This is your chance at revenge...
Also, you can drink blood if your health is below 5%...
